Raghu K. Kunamneni, M.D.
Dr. Raghu Kunamneni joined the practice in July 2008. He was born and raised in northern New Jersey. He received his bachelors of science in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in 1997. He then received a research training award through the National Institutes of Health and spent one year as a research fellow in molecular biology at the NIH in the department of Digestive Diseases and Kidney Disorders. Dr. Kunamneni then received his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine, completing the majority of his clinical training at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ.
Upon graduation from medical school, Dr. Kunamneni completed an internal medicine residency in 2005 at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, he was subsequently board certified in internal medicine. He then proceeded to complete his fellowship training in hematology and oncology at Lenox Hill Hospital in 2008. He achieved his board certification in both hematology and medical oncology in 2008.
Dr. Kunamneni serves as the medical director of Solamor Hospice in Toms River. His specific clinical interests include plasma cell dyscrasias, breast cancer, and myelodysplasia. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He is also an active member of the cancer care committee at Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood, New Jersey.
