Randi J. Katz,D.O.
Dr. Randi Katz has been part of the practice since 2007. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Staten Island, NY. She graduated from Binghamton University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. She then spent a year prior to medical school working on grant proposals at New York University Medical Center. She graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001.
Upon graduation, Dr. Katz began her Internal Medicine training at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. She completed her training in 2004, and then went on to complete a Hematology / Oncology Fellowship program in 2007. She was involved in research in drug related causes of low platelets during her training, and has published a paper in the journal; Expert Opinion in Pharmacotherapeutics. Dr. Katz is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, as well as Oncology. She is also a member of the American Society of Hematology, and American Society of Clinical Oncology.
Dr. Katz believes in kind compassionate care, and in close patient/doctor relationships. She believes that this is extremely important in treating patients with cancer. Her clinical interests are in breast cancer and plasma cell dyscrasias.
She lives in Monmouth County with her husband and daughter, and enjoys spending time with her family, when she is not at work.
